Two well-established facts:

1. Brexit was an unmitigated disaster for the UK.

2. X is an unacceptably toxic platform.

Why then is it that the UK prime minister can’t bring himself to admit the first, nor leave the second?

Is it any wonder so many people are disillusioned with politics?

Lords Heseltine & Kinnock seem more alive to these self-evident truths than most members of the Commons. Similarly, I find thinkers with direct lived experience of far right dictatorship, Greeks of a certain age for example, crystal clear about what’s happening now.

I'm very concerned about all the #GlobalSumudFlotilla detainees, but especially Hannah Schafer, who seems likely to be held in extended detention in Israel. Israeli armed forces have committed grave and multiple breaches of international law in attacking the flotilla and mistreating its crew.
