My sun Adrian appeared at the British Masters Track & Field Championships in Derby at the weekend. He ran in a 400 metres race….. and won. It was his first competitive race at this distance.
He is in the 5th lane in a yellow jersey.

I agree with your selection Chris. If it had been Tim Hardin singing If I Were A Carpenter and the Four Seasons with I Can’t Get My Eyes Off You , I would have chosen them.

A 60 second segment featuring Mary Hopkin in a channel 5 production of “The Best of Eurovision in the '70s." Whilst Mary disliked the song Knock Knock Who’s There? she gave a wonderful performance. @singingconductor.bsky.social @maryhopkin.bsky.social

I had the NME delivered every week. I was still at school. I remember virtually all the songs in the chart.

Graham Nash wrote "Our House" after a simple outing with Joni Mitchell where they bought a vase, and he lit a fire at their Laurel Canyon home.

This demo is such a perfect little thing. Their voices together. Joni’s delighted giggle when he makes a mistake. It’s so warm and alive you feel like you’re there.

Saw them play this great song at Richmond Athletic Club. No Stage, same level as the audience. We all sat on the floor!

You’re right. All in their eighties. The Seekers are my wife’s favourite group. We have seen them on two occasions. Judith Durham was a wonderful singer.

I have seen a Manfreds concert with both lead singers Paul Jones and Mike D’Abo singing all their hit songs. A highly entertaining evening. (Poster advertising New Zealand tour!)

Mary is still making wonderful music. Here is one of my favourite songs. It is from Mary’s 2014 album Painting By Numbers. It has received nearly 30,000 YouTube views and over 60 comments . youtu.be/6ezGF-CUIUc?...

Here is a short video of a brilliant two hour boat trip we took to the Farne Islands off the Northumberland coast. Home to tens of thousands of sea birds.

I have seen Mike Hugg on three occasions with The Manfreds which were formed in 1991. Really entertaining with the audience joining in with their songs.

Great song! One of my very favourite tracks of the’60s. Still regularly play it today.

Have a nice long break Nick. I do hope that you will decide to carry on as you are a marvellous illustrator. Book illustrations have always interested me. My grandad was an illustrator and my great great grandfather John Rapkin drew and engraved maps. www.antique-maps-online.co.uk/john-rapkin....

Great song! The Four Tops are my favourite Motown group.

I have seen the great Errol Brown perform in a solo concert. A really enjoyable evening in 1000 capacity packed theatre.

As mentioned before, I was there for the Saturday and Sunday evening performances. 15 shillings each night. Was at Windsor Racecourse during the summer of love.

Your garden sounds intriguing Mary. Our garden has many trees and shrubs including the neighbours gardens as well. The downside….many falling leaves.
