I‘m afraid the Democrats already know how to act weak and unpopular 🤪 (Schumer, Jeffries). We need them to be tough and aligned with the majority of the country.

I didn't set out to be like either one of the. I got into the comedy game later in life after having a career in something totally unfunny. If you are a comedian, I apologize. Nothing in this thread revealed any hints.

Famous is the word you're looking for. Less successful would imply I failed at trying to be like either one of them. Wanda Sykes was speaking her mind too. Other than the subject matter, bringing up those two comics seems like a difference without distinction. FWIW I find all of them funny.

I'm fine with people poking fun for any reason and speaking for everyone. That is a comedian's job. Wanda was poking fun at comics who think they represent the mainstream by punching down and the reaction was to cry bully her on their behalf not laugh it off.

I get what you're saying about self-censorship, but conflating Wanda Sykes' dig at Bill Maher with a call for censorship is a bit of a reach – like calling clap back on Blue Sky vilification.
Do you think it was wrong for her to poke fun at a notoriously thin-skinned comic like Bill Maher?
