I did not think I’d be sharing a Ronald Regan video on my social media but here I am. I disagree with a LOT of Regan’s beliefs & actions but Regan had the correct take on high tarrifs and trade wars. Give it a listen starting around the 2:30 mark. youtu.be/5t5QK03KXPc?...

An observation about emotional posting: if you use lots of CAPS and !!!!, it looks like a Donny Trump post, and immediately looses credibility:)

While a poster intends the granular—interesting pieces of a picture—a fuller scene emerges unbidden from the relationship between the pieces (themes, sequences, associations, reactions) information beyond the poster’s intention, perhaps in cases even repressed, and understandably defended against.

.

Why might some find assembly and conjecture about shared content disturbing? One answer is that what is shared granularly to communicate specifics also conveys something additional and different when it is part of a whole. The discrete data points of posts also constitute a carrier wave.

The statement presented as objective truth (‘it’s creepy’) is
about subjective experience. While some might find it creepy, others find it flattering or reassuring. After all, someone has found them interesting enough to spend considerable time and effort getting to know and understanding them.

Consider their recent post to the world at large:

…»aggregating and analyzing someone's online presence is utterly creepy no matter the purpose»

Posters seek to foster as much engagement with their content as possible. Is the aggregate analysis of that content inappropriate?

Yes?; no?: why?

Serious question inviting serious responses:

A retired adult entertainment performer is the subject of a developmental psychobiography. They have posted regularly (daily) on major social media platforms for years and have built a significant online following.

As I age I think there’s wisdom in allocating vices the same way we allocate virtues.

We work to maintain different habits of health when we’re young—enjoy varied vices in later life so everything wears out at the same time 🍸😊
