I don’t actually have a much of a problem with people mourning Brigitte Bardot, in all honesty. She was an icon in so many ways, I am not disputing that and will never take that away from her. But so much of what I’m seeing online has this energy

The woman on the left (I think this is her in 2017) follows the trends and plays it safe. The woman on the right is more compelling - she knows exactly who she is. It is always so cool to see someone grow into themselves. I can’t wait to see what she does next. I am paying attention now!

Herkus Mantas (1972) is excellent. It is 145 minutes long, but it was so excellently paced that I didn’t care. It was compelling, moving, and made me think. A true hidden gem of a film. Highly highly recommend
