It also helps that Sinners was a stunning and well shot movie. I saw an interview w/ the DP and it’s clear she and Coogler have a love of film making that jumps out at you watching the movie. I saw it standard first and twice on IMAX. That skill makes the format worthwhile.

Yes! I’ve long ignored IMAX because I didn’t get the hype. It’s a bigger screen…🤷🏽♀️
Both the explanation and the changing ratio were the demonstration that finally made me “get” it. I won’t go see everything on IMAX, but when Nolan says his next movie is made for IMAX, I understand what he means.
