Oh cool! I have an envo that doesn’t fit right & have been alternating between KN95s from the hardware store & reusable Cambridge masks with a valve. I have asthma & the valve helps a lot.

Miyazaki: in this movie two young girls (one is a toddler) are uprooted from everything they know to start new lives near the rural hospital their mother is in; she is possibly dying of TB. Their dad works several hours away and they are largely unsupervised.

Getting that diagnosis for my kid opened up legally-required support options at my kid's school. There's specific protections and services in the USA for kids with autism diagnoses.

It also helped provide a tool set for support techniques to help understand and parent our child.

I had SO MANY people try to argue with me that my child wasn't REALLY autistic and maybe if I just find a DIFFERENT DOCTOR then I'd get a DIFFERENT diagnosis!!!

Absolutely depressing.

There's nothing innately wrong with being autistic. I know I'm preaching to the choir here.

Not even 8am here and someone's informed me my daughter can't really be autistic because she can dress herself and use the bathroom on her own.

I could explain to them autism is a spectrum but making sure I never interact with them again seems better.
