Anyway, that's the vibe I'm getting from the Supergirl buzz. It doesn't matter that it's going to be a high-budget 2-hour CW show, the teenage girls and gay men it's aimed at will like it, so I don't have to.

I don't know which Twilight movie it was, but the audience of teen girls were laughing at its slo-mo fantasy sequences where the leads ran hand-in-hand, and gasping when Mr Twilight proposed to his underage girlfriend. They enjoyed it, and the low quality and tonal whiplash didn't seem to matter.
