Our little crèche! Lenny (right) may be a few weeks older and feistier than Sulwe, but this spirited young girl holds her own beautifully. Just a decade ago, Umani Springs was only an idea. Now, it’s a thriving Reintegration Unit — and an elephant nursery, with ex-orphans starting families.

Elephants don’t recognise ‘National Park Boundaries’ — they’ve roamed freely for millennia. But as human populations grow, their ancient routes increasingly overlap with community lands.

That’s where we come in. Partnering with local communities, our teams guide elephants back to protected areas.
