I struggle with understanding why the entire country is subject to the beliefs of 6 corrupt judges who have time & time again ruled in ways that defy the constitution. If this were flipped, conservative states would not be abiding by their rulings & their side has been clearly breaking laws anyways.

The thing about Christian Nationalists is they don’t believe in hell anymore than they follow Jesus. It’s a top down scam. I know some people argue this pertains to all religion but personally I think if people are following what is good, it’s not my place to pass judgement.

My husband is Southern & LOVES deviled eggs. I can eat one or two. He can eat 1/2 a tray knowing full well it’s going to make him want to throw up not to mention the self loathing that follows.

Am Capitalism pushes kids to move out @ 18 & move for jobs & living w/family to save w/housing is looked down on. And there’s no help. No affordable childcare, short maternity, & even less paternity. The entire system is backwards & it’s only gotten worse. Plus now there’s fascism & climate change.

My husband & I started off wanting 1 kid but everything just kept getting worse. Recessions, housing, daycare, college, gun violence, etc. We have no social safety nets. Also the isolation here isn’t normal. In other countries, people have networks and/or gov help. Here we’re on our own.

Selective hearing & privilege are one hell of a combo. They heard free speech & a better economy. They believed immigration only pertained to violent criminals but racism wouldn’t affect them anyways so whatev. Nor does DEI. They figured if it didn’t work out, they’d just switch in 4 yrs. 🙄

My 16 yr old self would be appalled by the surveillance state of our present. My early 20’s luddite self however would be unsurprised as it’s everything I feared but was told was unreasonable.

Like how does one explain the particulars of 1st generation trauma to a white man who doesn’t think about things like this? Or what it means to be a brown woman in our current climate? Or how my anxiety related to these things is quite frankly very normal?

Personal rant. It took me yrs to find a mental health doctor that was culturally compatible. He left the practice last month & my appt today felt completely off in respect to viewing my past & present from a cultural lens. Plus I’ve been extra stressed out lately & my bday is this Sunday. Awesome.
