The magic of community energy isn't in the simple act of clean energy production - it's the ripples that spread out from it!

We've delivered over £440,000 in direct funding to community projects that have transformed lives across the city...and we're not stopping any time soon!

So excited to see the amazing work at @stokescroftlandtrust.org where a £4,000 grant from the Megawatt Community Energy Fund from @briznrgcoop.bsky.social and Low Carbon Gordano has helped them install solar panels with the capacity to generate 4000 kWh.

Woweeeee! 🏆

Our Bridport Co-Housing project has just swept the boards at the RIBA South West & Wessex awards!

Congrats to everyone involved. What a concept and what an achievement in delivery!

In 2011 a small group of Bristolians got together and decided to make a difference.

Fast forward to 2025 and we're now a fully staffed organisation producing enough clean energy to power the equivalent of 3,500 homes per year.

Stay tuned - some exciting projects to announce soon!

Hi Ricky, Bristol City Council now have an agreement with Amaresco (as part of Bristol City Leap) that effectively grants them first dibs on all council-owned buildings, so City Hall would be off the menu for us.

We're looking for non-governmental organisations, community buildings etc 🙂

Last week, our CEO Helen Martin represented us at Westminster, championing community-led renewables.

Community voices at the table aren't just important - they're transformative. When communities lead, we drive real change toward net zero! 🌿⚡️

They profit. We pay the price. But here in Bristol, we’re taking back control. Community-owned renewables put power where it belongs – with people, not polluters.

The future is local. Check out what we’re building in our city:

Want public support for climate action? Then do it right.

From pylons to low-traffic zones, people push back when decisions are imposed. If we work WITH communities, they’ll help drive the transition forward.
