Br. Geoffrey broke out in a huge grin, and then Br. Curtis did too. They went on to serve the rest of us, but Br. Geoffrey was smirking a bit the whole time. It was amazing. No words; only expressions. A love of ritual and a respect for human fallibility. Beautiful.

Br. Geoffrey offered them each a piece of the host, saying, "The bread of heaven," and then the cup, saying "The bread of heaven." Br. Curtis received the cup normally except with one eyebrow markedly arched. Br. Geoffrey momentarily looked concerned, then realized his mistake.

I have a great memory of a Eucharist at SSJE when Br. Geoffrey was superior. He was celebrant that day. We were gathered in a circle around the altar. After the consecration, Br. Curtis (the prior superior) and another brother went up to receive and then help serve.

Is the job public facing? If so, 2 because part of the point of a bio is for people to look up the public facing people they’ve seen and they need to see your face clearly. If not, 1 is great!
