There are hiring freezes, budget delays, cuts everywhere, fewer international students and grad students all over higher education, but somehow so many schools are reporting increased or record enrollment. Something isn't adding up here.

There's the cliche about George Costanza and "look annoyed to look busy," but you get way more done on a college campus if you think, "how would a David Strathairn-casted character deal with this?" It's an incredible life hack. Just sort of be nice but also hampered.
