Decided to work on my hicapa build again and had some parts come in. I was able to snag the last available grey airsoft masterpiece limcat frame and grey vector optics red dot on the market. The grip is still to be decided, but it's coming together nicely. Can't wait to finish it. 🥰

Laser is finally here. Now for a taller riser for the red dot and protective lenses for the laser unit. Gun is so front heavy now, but feels so satisfying. Thinking of swapping the rail. The partial picitinny up front is so limiting.

So the aster sx doesn't have any options to adjust the trigger reset, so any release at all triggers the reset. That means if you hold the trigger just right you can bump fire the gun in semi

Got to do some testing today and those 12:1 gears are putting in some work. Got more things worked out, so hopefully the only thing I need to finish this build is my new buffer tube

She's almost done. Need a longer loading nozzle to lessen the air leak between the bucking and nozzle and figure out why the aster is sometimes reading semi as full auto. I was pulling the trigger kinda weird at first to try to keep it from numbing to auto.

2 more packages and it'll be ready to assemble and tune. Yet again I got the wrong buffer tube. Nowhere in the states sells it, and I was only able to find the right one by looking up the receiver part number through Google AI. I'm debating on just buying a new receiver at this point.🫠

More parts came in. Upper is pretty much complete. Next order will be a new buffer tube, gearbox, ETU, and motor. So close to finishing in terms of parts, but the gearbox needs to be radiused, AOE needs to be checked, and gears need to be shimmed. Making headway, but parts are expensive😅

Update on my outdoor build. External parts came in last night, and everything is mostly put together. Need to buy a new buffer tube. The receiver is listed as a QBS reciever, but I can only assume it's an older model QBS because the QBS tube I ordered doesn't fit. TM spec tube should work.

Revised my outdoor rifle and have a new parts list. It's going to be more expensive than expecting, but FUCK IT WE BALL!!!!
Just ordered the externals and that came up to close to $300. Can't wait to have a husk of a gun to stare at until I get internals sorted. 🥰
