I'm lots of things occasionally - occasional vidder, occasional fanfic writer, occasional student - but lots of things intermittently. Mostly confused. He/Him.
Remember when it was announced that his name was Grogu, and not Baby Yoda?

Is it not just an instruction to add 5 doughnuts to your croissant?

Does Halloween Hyped by Tina Parol & Oh Hush! count? (I'm only aware of this song because it was playing in an episode of Doctor Odyssey.)

I'm doing my best to be restrained and only get myself one Lego Advent calendar this year. I've taken the edge off a bit by getting one of my nieces a Lego Minecraft advent calendar...

A couple of years before this I remember I used to walk past an independent video rental store twice a day, and it was advertising ex-rental copies of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves for £70.

There are so many possibilities for what "this" could be.

A John le Carré exhibition sounds fascinating. I hope it's fun :)

So you're saying you'd like to take over the rail shed and tracks Rail Sidings Ltd are currently leasing and the locomotives they have stored on the old MOD ammo depot site in Eastriggs in Dumfries & Galloway?

I like these potato and apple fritters, although I can't really have them any longer. Also, you can substitute grated carrot for the grated apple and they're still really nice fried: www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes...

I hope that everything goes smoothly tomorrow, and that the recovery time is short and involves all the ice cream you want.

It's very kind of you to release this 3 weeks after Juliet E. McKenna's new Green Man novel, so I've got a chance to read that and then re-read the other Mennik Thorn books before The Dead Man is available...

Are you planning on using plain shoulderpads with painted insignia on, or do you have some with Dark Kraken insignia modelled on?

Other countries that start with vowels that I remember are Italy, Scotland and the Netherlands - Dw i'n byw yn yr Eidal/yr Alban/yr Iseldiroedd." Australia is Awstralia, but "I live in Australia" is "Dw i'n byw yn Awstralia" and I don't know why it's not "Dw i'n byw yn yr Awstralia".
October 21, 2025 at 8:12 PM
I don't know why, but some examples... "I live in" is "Dw i'n byw". France is Ffrainc, so "Dw i'n byw yn Ffrainc" == "I live in France." The Yn causes mutations in front of certain letters, so "I live in Wales" == "Dw i'n byw yng Nghymru". I live in Germany == "Dw i'n byw yn yr Almaen."
October 21, 2025 at 8:12 PM
It's not Yr Cymrae - instead, it's just Cymru. I'm still learning, so I don't know all the countries, and it gets more complicated when words mutate, but the countries that have Yr in front of them that I know all begin with vowels in Cymraeg, but not all countries that start with vowels get Yr.
October 21, 2025 at 8:12 PM
This is tangential, but my brain just pinged because in Cymraeg/Welsh, Germany is "Yr Almaen" and the German language is "Almaeneg".

I'm surprised she'd eat chips, given that potatoes are a foreign import. Why isn't she eating skirret instead?
