Wild that the administration says it wants to bring manufacturing back to he U.S. but is actively sabotaging clean energy projects, one of the few green shoots of domestic manufacturing out there.

My dream is for Smith to get a curbside protected lane on the right side of the street and then, long term, for it to become a low-traffic street with just buses, bikes and local deliveries.

Yes. We are hoping to pair it with a northbound lane close by. Sadly, the only other N/S protected bike lanes are Brooklyn Bridge Park and 4th Ave. Lots of gaps in this part of the borough still.

I live right by Court Street and the bike lane has made a huge difference — the street is so much calmer and safer. It's going to be a thing of beauty when it's finished

Took Doug's suggestion and emailed the community board. Took two minutes. If you live in Brooklyn consider doing the same!

This will quickly become one of the busiest bike lanes in Brooklyn. The demand has been there a long time. And it's going to make crossing the street as a pedestrian so much safer.
