i was just at riotfest i'm cool and fun i promise

One day in those first few months of the pandemic, I was alone in my apartment & feeling miserable & homesick when I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder, just for a moment, like they were comforting me. it was probably my imagination but i like to think it was the building ghost checking in.

if there was a ghost, it was good, and protective of the students - my first year there, when checking empty student rooms before move-in, door locks on the floor kept sticking for me until i introduced myself as the new building RD. never had that same issue again for the rest of my time there.

the second floor, of the building, particularly some rooms above my apartment, was supposed to be haunted; some small weird things had happened to me there, but nothing unexplainable.

i am not a farmer but i grew up in a rural city of 6k people (biggest in my county)! I was in 4H; many of my friends came from families who worked in agriculture. There is a soybean field one block away from my childhood home.
