We strongly welcome government plans to help children out of temporary accommodation. No child should grow up in this environment yet, in June 2025, 172,420 children were.

To end this crisis for good we will work with the government to deliver the social homes urgently needed.

We want to be clear about what this week’s announcements mean for people seeking safety in this country, homelessness and housing justice.
