Going from door, to car, to door, I would rather be cold for a minute than uncomfortable for the day.

Personally, I hate the feeling of long pants. Although as long as it isn't windy my legs don't really feel cold until it is 17 or 18 out. I shovel snow in shorts and I'm comfortable. If I was sitting outside not moving I would probably wear pants. On the other hand if it is 0 degrees out and I'm

I just have to ask, is this a meta pun? A post on transparency on a platform called ghost? either way it made me chuckle.

It is extremely petty.

Because the goal for the administration is "winning". If Garcia moves to Costa Rica on his own terms, instead of because he capitulated, the Administration loses.

I am so damn happy he is finally free.
December 11, 2025 at 10:26 PM
I completely agree. I feel like we should be able to "pierce the presidential veil" just like we can "pierce the corporate veil". I hope we can get half the Supreme Court impeached.

Garcia's language skills, it may require them to bring in an interpreter (probably by phone). Now 5 hours in and you're talking about them dragging their feet. Which is one of the reasons Judge Xinis ordered a status report by 5pm. /3

walk someone out the door. The Prison and the prisoner both have to gather personal items, which may or may not be locked up, fill out a few forms, possibly wait for word on a ride. This can be complicated by last minute orders because they may have to call the right people in, and due to /2

Sure. So you can read "immediate" as "with all due haste". That basically means anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours. Although it can be a shorter or longer period depending on a bunch of factors. The order has to get transmitted, documented and than processed. Prisons can't just open a cell, and /1

I actually just posted about this, she doesn't have immunity, but suing her successfully is going to be very difficult. You can read my explanation here:

Smuggling (what Garcia was charged with) is not trafficking and this is actionable defamation.
Q: Does the White House have a response to a judge ordering the immediate release of Kilmar Ábrego García from ICE detention? Will you appeal?

LEAVITT: Absolutely. The White House opposes this activism from a judge. He is a proven human trafficker

spokesperson for the government, she may claim that she is simply a mouthpiece for the executive branch. If you can't prove that she made this statement on her own, without instruction from the white house, you're going to run into the same Westfall issue. I wish it was easier for Garcia to sue. /3

allows the Federal Government to substitute itself for the Defendant. The case is than dismissed because of sovereign immunity. If you manage to overcome the first issue, than you have to deal with who "published" the statement. Even though the press secretary may have said it, because she is a /2

Suing the WH Press Secretary for defamation, even with actual malice is a ridiculously uphill battle. There are two major issues, the biggest of which is that if the defendant can convince the judge that this was an official statement (which it almost definitely was), the Westfall Act 1/

I'm not sure how many legitimate causes of actions Garcia has because of sovereign immunity, but I strongly support showering him with money. I would love to see a picture of him on a golden throne, imitating and clearly mocking Trump.

The worst part of this saga, for the government, is how much they've embarrassed themselves. The sheer incompetency that they've shown at every stage of this trial is baffling.
December 11, 2025 at 7:26 PM
I'd go so far as to say it deliberately misleads the average lay person.
December 11, 2025 at 7:04 PM
Any chance of her finally imposing sanctions?

On a scale of 1-10 Hegseths, how illegal was this?
December 10, 2025 at 11:00 PM
Am I missing something, or is basically every single citation related to the defendant of a criminal investigation, rather than a true third party? The closest to that seems to be a reference to a case that involved shell companies owned/connected to the defendant.

The incident was in early January and they waited until mid November to seek an indictment...makes me think they're trying to use this as leverage to get information.

Back in July when Trump lied about this, the cheapest station in the country was $2.31. Now the futures market is under $2. But that isn't for stations, generally commercial gas stations are about a $1 above that, at a minimum.
