How does name-calling help? Seriously asking.

The flu vaccine will be available next season, but maybe not for everyone or everywhere.

Oh God, that poor baby.

Frederick Douglass woke me up. Brent Staples held up a mirror. Derrick Bell stripped my illusions.

None of these. Constantly using derisive language is eroding common cause far more than it is helping any cause.

obligatory (and, for that matter, untrue)

"tl:dr"

With the joke out of the way, I found this thread very lucid and encouraging. Thank you.

I don't read Picard as that detached at the end of Chain of Command. He's telling his therapist that he broke, despite the fact that everyone else sees a hero who didn't break.

This is really not their base, though. NAE is largely comprised of congregations outside of the right-wing Evangelical powerhouses like the SBC and PCA.

Point of order: while not a leftist hotbed, the denominations are mostly (not all) outside the sphere people usually associate with Evangelicals.

Notably the alliance does not include the SBC (Southern Baptists) or PCA (conservative Presbyterians).

Do these properties "held in" various states relate to my state of residence? Or where the business is operated?

I haven't clicked through to read the thread you shared, but I would like to add that (as my therapist taught me) "depression is anger tirned inward." Sometimes anger is the emotion that we need to feel, but can't. I have been in a stage of "freeze" until this morning, when I realized I am angry.

I haven't read the article yet, but if your read is accurate then this is a huge breakthrough. Thank you for posting the good news too.

I can't commit to a monthly sub right now, but do you have a way to make a direct one-off donation?

Hard same.
