If you're a lawyer AI is going to impact your practice in some way, maybe big, maybe small. Best to get in front of it now rather than wait until you’re behind the curve and at a disadvantage.

If there's increased attention on #legal #ethics and accuracy as a result of AI (catching fake cites, etc) then I think that's a net positive. Submitting fake, inappropriate, or misinterpreted cites is not new but efforts to catch those now has a fresh urgency & that's a good thing, in my opinion.

This is interesting, and not totally surprising. There's value in staying humble and curious, even if you have a lot of experience with something.

I guess I shouldn't complain since I'm getting it for "free" but I can't remember the last time I opened the Amazon Prime music app without it nagging me about upgrading to "Unlimited" or some other freemium feature.

I can't emphasize enough how important it is in America that we stand up for the rule of law. It's fundamental to everything this country is supposed to be.

Did you know you can trade in your old electronic devices and get Costco gift cards? (It says "Apple" on the page but appears to accept devices from a wider range of manufacturers)

#Microsoft posted a video showing Microsoft 365 #Copilot doing cool & useful things with a proposal document & a statement of work. In both cases they showed uploading the document to Copilot.

I couldn't help but think...shouldn't those documents be in your SharePoint? Why not just use the CIQ? 🤔

I noticed that Waze just added a feature that lets me report roadside incidents using voice too. I feel like they had that feature before, but maybe it's "New and improved".

I heard a #Copilot commercial on a #LegalTech podcast yesterday. Not that surprising, except...it was a commercial for the CONSUMER version of Copilot. No wonder lawyers are confused - they're hearing ads talking about features their version of Copilot doesn't have. 🤦‍♂️

Prioritize constructive communication with your customers. A big percentage of people who stop working with you do so because they don't hear from you and don't think you care. #churn #business

Can't help but wonder if all these lawyers filing fake AI-generated cites with the court were always a bit sloppy with their pre-filing review or if a misplaced confidence in the #AI has made them complacent. 🤔#ethics #legal

We'll see if this has any effect. I tend to agree with Roger that it probably won't solve the problem, but it can't hurt.
