I publish YouTube playlists about #OpenBSD, #DragonFly, #NetBSD and #FreeBSD twice a week as long as my crontab doesn't break.
It’s Saturday, and cron delivered: a new YouTube playlist full of #FreeBSD tips, ports, and power tools. Watch, learn, and BSD with us every Wednesday and Saturday.

Go to https://bsd.ytch.online to check the lastest playlist.

OPNSense, because of the fiasco pfSense made of their initial Wireguard implementation, among other things.

Why I use OPNsense over pfSense, and why I don't trust Netgate at all
Both platforms have their uses, but Netgate has a lot of controversial history.

The #OpenBSD Foundation has surpassed its fundraising goal for 2025!

The total smaller donations from the OpenBSD community has reached Iridium tier for the 6th year in a row! Very cool! 😎

AI scrapers blew up my log files, but in the process of cleaning up my server I've discovered other things using extra gigabytes. What's a distro that doesn't use snaps? I shouldn't be spending 2.2G on managing packages for software which was written to run on a platform that booted w/floppies.

OpenBSD is one of the most important open source operating systems out there. They are the maintainers of OpenSSH which just about everyone uses on a daily basis in this industry.
And it works so well for network device duties like a router!

OpenBSD is still my fav OS of all time.
