In some degree yes. I had FF’s that were very similar. You either expect and demand better or you end up viewed with your lowest rank and file. I am well aware current ICE are not trained LEO’s but if you do not hold them to the law you end up at their level.

Seriously at what risk? While this is not typical, it is also by no means false. As an ex-Fire Chief I have dealt with many a cop who lived in and genuinely cared about community policing, and dealt many others who were cold hearted, racist, power freaks.

It’s not just “training” it’s actually about the trained purpose. Our police state was established to control the poor and minorities. Policing in many other countries was established for actual public safety. The methods and lengths of training support the desired purpose.
