163 years ago in Mankato, 38 Dakota men were hung in the largest mass execution in our nation’s history.

I’m grateful to the riders who continue to remind us the importance of fighting for accountability and healing for the Dakota people.

Dakota riders return home to Minnesota via horseback, honoring legacy of Dakota 38

I'm Cherokee, Native American, I rarely see other Indian BlueSky accounts appearing on my feed. My Icon and profile is clearly Indian. Very few of my posts get reposted and they are far better than a lot of crap I see reposted by non-Indians. BlueSky not interested in Native American point of view?

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social seems like the kind of person who could push this.
Bond it out and set the rent based on the cost to pay the bond plus maintenance and property tax costs. If you want to really make change set it up to sell the units to the tenants who qualify (now or future) utilizing the same basis for the mortgage term and hold the mortgage to make the interest.

Maybe the rich won't explode into loot like a video game character when they die, but we won't know for sure until we do some empirical testing.

Very familiar!
Back in the 80s, he built under budget by refusing to pay contractors' bills and then bankrupting them in litigation.

Sound familiar?

Trump said he wanted to bring back “The good old days… when they [protestors] would be taken out on a stretcher.”

ICE is bringing dogs to attack people based on the color of their skin aka not perceived as white. This is state sanctioned terrorism. F*ck Trump and the Republicans who empower him.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

Fact. They want that Manhattan zip code regardless of what it costs them. The other 16.5 million people in NYC actually need it to be affordable rather than being forced to fund those few.

I suspect a great many New Yorkers watching wealthy people’s wealth *fail* to get them preferential access to the mayor-elect are feeling better and better about their vote for Zohran Mamdani.
Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."

Ugh. This statement encapsulates milquetoast equivocation of govt representation

Upon describing what best can be called *state terror* don’t say our rights are “at risk”

What happened to “if it happens to one of us it happens to all of us”?

Our rights & liberties already have been trampled

Building a pro-worker economy shouldn’t be partisan. Investing in clean energy and good jobs should be a red, white, and blue issue—but for today’s GOP, nothing matters more than cutting taxes for the rich.
