Totally beside myself with what is happening in the U.S. Life long Californian and Democrat. Pro democracy, kindness, science, and love
The Feculent Misadministration of Donal Trump and the shameful aiding and abetting by the highest court in the land

If DOGE isn’t a federal agency and is not subject to FOIA, why are they entitled to our private data, #SCOTUS. Just one example of your shameless behavior

I just saw a woman get a hug from @booker.senate.gov on the MSNBC Town hall. I’m an old, married, California woman but I could really use a hug from him. Love you Senator! Thank you for your service!

There’s been zero explanation for this given but it seems exceedingly likely it’s pure retaliation for the Maine governor challenging Trump. Really sick.

Social Security now requires Maine parents to visit an agency office to register newborns
The change — immediately criticized by pediatric health advocates — eliminates a program that allowed parents to fill out a form at the hospital to secure a Social Security number for their children.

It's pretty rich to hear a guy like Musk who is into crypto call Social Security, which has been in place for almost 90 years, a "Ponzi scheme." If rich people just paid the same percentage of their income in Social Security taxes the rest of us do, SSA would be solvent for generations to come.
Elon Musk just called Social Security a Ponzi scheme, so it’s worth reiterating: All functional retirement schemes, public or private, pre funded or pay as you go, are claims on future production - there's just no way, at scale, of storing current production for use during retirement
