The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.

I’m glad to see Bill say this. But when after a century of just the type of abuse we saw today - relentless and cruel, ensnaring our children and intimidating our communities - young Black people said in frustration, anger, and demand for change “defund the police” - so many of you denounced them.

The answer isn’t taxing unrealized Gaines. The answer is taxing the loans the wealthy take out on their unrealized gains as the income that it is. The whole buy, borrow, die scam needs to be exposed. Go ahead and buy, but when you borrow its income to be taxed and you inherit, same.
