I'd just like to know how much taxpayer money is being wasted on teams of doctors and cosmetologists trying to make Trump look alert and healthy during his public appearances. Talk about a boondoggle!

Final post-op appointment for my Mom's cataract surgery yesterday, and the news was great. We've been dealing with pre and post-op's, surgery, aftercare, and thousands (seemingly) of eyedrops since September, but she came through it all like a champ.

This tired, deeply-damaged man is so needy. He has to have references to him being president on his hat, on his shirt, and on a golf-framed placard next to his overcooked cheeseburger he's almost too-out-of-it to eat.

How many times does Trump have to lose consciousness in public in front of cameras before the corporate media will go a little farther than saying that there are "questions" about his health?

I might add, making a purchased ticket a contract rather than a gamble and acknowledging that people who travel will have luggage that ought to be considered part of the bargain.
How we can “restore courtesy and class to air travel” starts with airports & airlines starting to treat travelers as people rather than cattle, make airplane seating comfortable and humane, and designing airports and airplanes as welcoming and enjoyable spaces….

We should probably give the sportswriters a break on their little Lane Kiffin man-crush. They've been so bereft since their Arch Manning man-crush went south back in September, they need some guy to squeal about like teenagers.

Oh, by the way, thank you, Texas!

The real power of hypocrisy comes when you can convince others that you have the right to expect them to follow rules you have no intention of following yourself.

Looking at you, US journalists.

Looks like it's time for Trump to go on another ride on the Lose Train.

Invest in ketchup futures, there's going to be a shortage.

Can't think of anything interesting to say today because there's a damned squirrel in the wall.

While we're all scratching our heads over what 6-7 means, I'd like to propose bringing back a slang term from 80 years ago that is masterfully descriptive of everything right now:

FUBAR.

Marjorie Taylor Green did the only good thing for the United States that she has ever done last night. I'm not worried about her pension, if we could pay off another 20 or so Republicans to get the hell out of government we might be able to make some progress.

As a protest against Trump I plan to use Arabic numerals exclusively from now on.

I suspect Laura uses Roman numerals but can only get as far as 3.
A quick lesson here are Arabic numbers…

I guess it's not fair to expect the President to have read the Uniform Code of Military Justice when it's widely known that he can't read.

Pretty ironic that graduate nursing degrees are not considered "professional" any more while dressing up like Mad Max, throwing chairs at people, and standing still while an opponent climbs up on a turnbuckle and does a backflip onto your head is considered "professional wrestling."

I know this has been said plenty of times, but is there anybody out there who isn't a corporate journalist who does not believe Trump pitched a sh*t fit because he INTENDS to issue illegal orders to the military?

Three days ago, starting to feel this cold, I was vowing not to let it get in the way of some projects I wanted to do before the family comes here for Thanksgiving.

Today, butt thoroughly kicked, I'm looking around thinking, "It doesn't look so bad, I'll just live with it."

I'd predict a lot of one-legged turkeys hopping around.

Because you don't eat a turkey like that all at once.
Paul Kelly's family farm in England has been selling $500 heirloom turkeys for two generations. Now, after a decade breeding them in Virginia, KellyBronze birds are looking to gobble up America's Thanksgiving market.

I was telling my mother last night that we're only weeks or days away from Trump having a truly irredeemable breakdown on national TV, and today we're seeing the "Quiet, Piggy!" story take off.

Problem is, even that isn't quite irredeemable enough for the complicit press.

Translating claims on cold medicines:
"12 hour relief": peters out after about 4 hours
"Extra Strength": only if you take extra doses
"Non-drowsy": 3 hours of jitters, followed by a crash
"Night time": fall asleep OK, but wake up a wheezing mess in a couple of hours.

Yeah, I have a cold right now.

I was reading an article about how people in other countries can tell if you're an American when you're visiting (many things were good), and it occurred to me that one way to look really stupid is to try to act like you're a local.

Anybody else watch the first episode of Ken Burn's documentary on the American Revolution last night and notice the uncanny parallels with today?

"Ah'm a-votin' fer Trump cause he lowered the price of steak! Ah still cain't afford it, but that's Makin' 'Murica Great raht thar.
How much of a moron do you have to be to STILL, after all the shit that has gone down, remain an enthusiastic shill for this obviously incompetent con man.

Dawgs' smashing victory last night is just made more sweet because they beat the team the announcers were so shamelessly rooting for.
