Here is a fresh one from the kiln. I think I’m starting to feel a greater sense of ownership about this work. I picked and mixed the slip, sig, and the glazes. While I am starting to tweak the details the larger parts are starting to find their footing.

I’m continuing to refine this process. I don’t know why I’m throwing the feet on an altered hand built mug, but at the moment it’s providing weight and a terminus.

I got this one out of the kiln this morning. I tried out a glaze from @maycocolors on this textured mug and I’m pretty happy with how the glaze interacts with the surface.

Here are a couple of mugs from last night. We’ve made some big changes at the house that will give me a lot more room to work. One big change that more space allows is easy access to my wheel which let me add some curves and a foot in a way I was pretty happy with.

Here is the first version of this mug. I currently have four more finished and I think I’m going to be exploring this for a bit. I can say that it’s fun to see a bunch of them in different colors grouped together!

I have a couple of lines working right now, this is part of the all white group. I enjoy the rather subtle surface and how the glaze really wraps itself around the texture. If you haven’t noticed by how much I use this glaze, I really like it.
