Cringe against the machine.
Gen X curmudgeon.

If you scroll long into the doom, the doom scrolls also into you.
I was going to gripe about Fortnite, etc. turning into low-effort IP-licensing microtransaction farms but this cracked me up. “Slim Shady: Fictional Object “ is sending me for some reason.

A coworker was told to organize some files. They announced they are going to use AI to do it. I’m never going to find anything ever again.

Just heard a promo on SXM radio for a Jimmy Fallon Christmas music station. Of all the Christmas music stations I won’t be listening to, I’ll not be listening to that one the most.

Plz tell me they are not using the final season of Stranger Things to try to rehabilitate the worst plot tangent of the show’s entire history.

This man may be the most racist president this country has ever had, and twelve presidents owned slaves
Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

The bougie car feature I’m most jealous of are heated side mirrors. How am I the only dope sitting at the stoplight rolling down my window to wipe the side mirror with my sleeve?

Visited Dollar Tree and Walmart for the first time in ages and even tho they’re both poverty-based business models the vibe in Walmart was so much worse. Like everyone involved on both sides of the register desperately wanted to be somewhere else. A corporate culture of misery.

The Gen Z relatives have decided that if they’re going to be subjected to Gen X’s favorite procedurals all day they’re going to point out all the plot holes and clichés.

The circle is complete.

Thinking about giving back to my community by hanging out in the card aisle at the grocery store with a ruler to smack anyone who reaches for a “wife - funny” Christmas card.

When I ask the Uber driver why he moved to SoCal and he says it was because of his mother’s gambling problem, which got worse after they moved so his parents got divorced but he’s glad because she’s useless and brought it on herself.

Small talk, man. Do not recommend.

I just got an email response from Schiff. Very very generic. “Thanks for your Trump Bad email. Yes, Trump Bad.”

That took two weeks?
Padilla and Schiff don’t take voicemails over the weekend so I bit the bullet and emailed.

I feel like they’re on the right side of this one, but still good for them to have fuel for a backlash.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Saw an influencer brainstorming hashtags for her new baby. Stressing out over personal branding for a literal infant. What a miserable way to live.

A long time ago I got a song hook stuck in my head and couldn’t come up with what it was. Drove me nuts for ages.

It came up again recently and I finally remembered enough to find it with a lyric search.

Ladies and gentlemen, it was Nobody’s Fool by Kenny Loggins, the theme song from Caddyshack 2.

The all-time ratio leaderboard is mostly Chuck Schumer and pals’ posts from the March shutdown cave. The recent ratio leaderboard is the same group from the last 24 hours.

Both Senate Democrats and Republicans have failed in their responsibility to address the health care crisis and rein in a dangerous president who consistently ignores Congress’s authority and the rule of law. This “deal” is offensive to the American people and I won’t support it.
