Korean often marks social distance explicitly through grammatical structures, and the grammar JK sometimes gravitates towards shortens that distance: - -지요 ending is a social ending and is used several different ways here - It tends to sound friendly and like the speaker has positive regard for you. - Link to a great explanation of all its uses in post. - -네요 is grammar expressing observation - This is often used with spontaneous reactions to things and has an emotive feel. - (But you can also say this flatly and it can sound kinda droll. ㅎ) - -다가도 indicates that one thing was happening, and then there was a turn of events - In this case, SK had been having a bad cold snap, it seemed like it was warming up, turn of events, now it’s cold and yuck again.
