Cleaned my bike cleats and whaddyaknow one of the metal cleat springs is broken. Probably maybe might explain some loose action in the release!
(Also made me realize I haven’t replaced these in probably 4,500 miles, so good work, cleats!)

BTW I paid $140 out of pocket for my Novavax vaccine. I recall now that I had to pay out of pocket for it last year, too. I could have gotten either of the mRNA vaccines covered by insurance at a different pharmacy but they permanently increase my #tinnitus.

One of the typical stretches of bike lane in Dublin. While there isn’t a lot of protection from cars the small, hard ovoid bumps with the perpendicular posts would not be nice to any vehicle that goes over it.

The Mary Elmes Bridge as it crosses the north stem of the River Lee in Cork city.

A joined two-way cycling lane is set alongside two one way lanes along the north side of the River Lee in Cork city. Note that the car lane direction is opposite the adjacent bike lane direction, maximizing rider and driver visibility. A pedestrian path sits on the opposite side of the bike lane, near the riverside.
