My biggest flex this year. My Dr put me on meds to lower my cholesterol and sugar. Instead I changed my diet and bought a walking pad.
In one month my A1C went down 1 point and cholesterol 10 points. The holidays are harder, but I expect my A1C and cholesterol to be in normal range by February.

Also, long term health insurance is something worth looking into before you have to pay out of pocket.
Lastly, not only is elder care expensive, it can be extremely unreliable leading to further health problems.
