Is the shooter in custody? You've had all day.

The orange fellow is actually "Weapons-of-Mass-Destruction grade stupid."

Your not counting parking. The nearest RV parks are outside the City, I believe, and their prices might make a small apartment in the City seem reasonable. If you meant camping on a City street for free, that might not be the best option.

"Many bought RVs because it seemed, at the time, a cost-effective way of staying in the city." What made buying a $20,000 recreational vehicle cost-effective? Was it the mobility or the prospect of camping out rent-free on City streets? Sometimes you have to live with your choices.

We can address the presidential succession list in any order you prefer. Maybe impeach the easiest ones first? Can we impeach them all at the same time? Has anyone ever tried?

He's not going to be in Gracie Mansion forever. He should hold on to his rent-controlled unit and sub-let it for the duration.

Either as security guarantors or guarding demilitarized zones, how does Russia accept NATO troops anywhere in Ukraine when avoiding that was their motive for the war in the first place.

How about some compensation to families for refrigerators full of formerly frozen, perishable and now-spoiled food?
December 25, 2025 at 6:44 PM
PG&E or The City or somebody should be handing out dry ice so people can keep their refrigerators cool.

A private, unregulated credit market grew up outside of the government regulated public banking system and this unctuous asshole thinks the answer is to de-regulated the banks... again?

"A mockery of our system of justice?" Like they care? Isn't that the entire point of the exercise?

Will the PRC learn from our example that it's okay to hijack boats from countries you don't like and seize the cargo, like maybe a boatload of Nvidia chips from Taiwan?

Are the word and letter counts similar between documents?

If we get rid of lights and made every intersection a four-way stop, traffic would slow to a crawl all over town... if that's what we really want to do.

My post is moot now; the Senate passed the House "Files" bill.
But Sen. Kaine thought the filibuster was on the table.
"More likely, the chaos of continuing the shutdown would have led them (Republicans) to eliminate the Senate filibuster"
- Tim Kaine: Why I Voted to End the Shutdown, NYT, 12NOV2025

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) sacrificed affordable healthcare for millions of Americans to save the filibuster rule and thus ensure that the Epstein Files never see the light of day.

Imagine if Kit Kat had been killed by a coyote. Progressive San Francisco's (and Heather Knight's) brain would have exploded.

One woman drove to an airfield in Morocco, climbed in a C130, flew solo to Albuquerque, landed, showered, changed clothes and drove out to the suburbs in less than ten minutes without a word of dialogue.

Excuse me, but "mandatory"? Like flee the country or go to jail mandatory? Don't be a jackass, Scott.
November 14, 2025 at 6:37 PM
What Tim means is the "filibuster rule." The actual use of endless speeches to block legislation (a *real* filibuster) was not threatened.
November 13, 2025 at 6:26 PM
We're half through. It's disappointing. Not the "real" story. It's impressive to look at, but difficult to watch. Many scenes are unbearable, but for the wrong reasons. Many are laughable. Even the gore is slapstick. The tone and the music are all "off" somehow. Still, we will finish it tonight.

Hey, I've got an idea! Why doesn't the government just hold on to all that the money, and then pay for each person's care when they get sick, as they need it.
