Doing stuff in space has always paid off in technical developments for doing stuff on earth. Space science is cool and good and necessary. None of that money is wasted in any way that matters bc money isn’t real and social dynamics inform who gets money on earth, not how much money there is.

Honestly the real reason I left twitter was because it was straight up covered in ads and almost completely unusable. Same for facebook where 90% of my notifications were ads. When bsky gets ads I'll probably stop hanging around here too.
