This card looks difficult to play around

These will be fun together in Alchemy. I like the idea of running mono white and cheating out off-color threats

Combo man :)

New commander deck idea:
Just try and make this happen and hopefully win
Get all my basic lands on the battlefield :3

Interesting how differently they tackled the problem of turn 1 mana fixing so many years apart

Wizards talked about keeping the powerful stuff from new sets in the 3 year standard structure mostly contained to the set they are from. For example the best synergies for avatar cards are mostly found in avatar (supposedly). I think that means we won't be seeing allies again for a while

This in a control deck that plays mostly at instant speed would be sweet

Airbending and Superior Spider-Man/Kavaero, Mind-Bitten represent a major shift in design imo. Both of them allow you to circumvent the large mana cost required to trigger an on-cast ability for permanents using that as a necessary restriction to contain their powerful effects.

Phyrexia is so cool man. I kinda want to write fanfics tbh

I've done a lot of tinkering with this and I think it's better now! I went mono-black to get more value out of some colorless lands and to make my Bloodghast casts more consistent. The creature package is 4x (2 mana changeling) 4x (3 mana changeling) 4x Bloodghast 4x Greedy Freebooter + Unholy Annex
I've built a casual standard deck on arena with changelings, the Grim Captain, and Thrumming Hivepool. I only went off once with it but it felt so cool in that game. Thrumming Hivepool granting your changelings Double Strike is so sick. And then the option to flip the Grim Captain is cool

Hit this sequence in commander tonight. Domed a guy with Palantir of Ornthanc for 10 on turn 3, and then later got a hasty 14/14 Annihilator 10 Ulamog with GPG

I really do not want a SpongeBob UB set. The secret lair was cringe enough. I'm glad people are enjoying those cards but they are definitely not for me (unless I happen upon one, in which case, it will be sleeved up and I will pretend I didn't say this)

They fixed Memory Jar and I've never seen someone mention it!

There are so many old cards that are really really cool but aren't strong enough for any contemporary format. Cubes, or old constructed environments would let you play them, but they just can't be used without accepting that you're using bad cards

I bet that the set codenamed Ziplining will be about Avengers: Doomsday and will release somewhat concurrently

I think Loot is cute but it felt a bit much to have him in all the basics in aetherdrift. I like the Fblthp cameos were quite subtle, while Loot is very visible.

I think that the Grim Captain is gonna be a real deck once Lorwyn Eclipsed comes to standard. Assuming we will see the return of Changelings in a major way, the hardest part of the build-around for them is solved

Banger art. It's giving

There are 12 indestructible lands in Magic. If a 5 color commander deck ran them all, would you be able to consistently cast Cleansing Wildfire on one of them to ramp?

Thinking about the set I want to make. If equipment and auras are going to both be relevant, especially together, that crowds out space for creatures. I don't know how tenable that would be. On first blush, I don't think that a mechanic like living weapon, or for mirrodin! would make sense in ER

He kinda built like me
