Prepping for another @helloyarn.bsky.social “sweater” spin. I have 3 big balls like this - each is a hello yarn braid with 1/3 of a Jakira Farm braid to add in some more light blues.

Prepping some batts for a #tourdefleece sweater spin. All colors were dyed by me (: and all except for the neon green were naturally dyed with marigold, madder and indigo.
The base of the batt is some superfine and medium #shetland

I’ve been sampling for a TdF sweater spin. I have these super fine gray shetland batts, but they’re pretty neppy and I didn’t enjoy trying to spin them on their own.

OBSESSED with my new wheel. She is so smooth and easy to spin (supported) long draw, which is my preference, and just pretty to look at.

Spinning some batts and rolags. I’m hoping to start selling some batts, focusing on ones that will produce layered, tweedy yarns like these (especially the one on the right). Anyone interested? Do people like buying 50 or 100g at a time? Sweater quantities? 🐑🧶

Recent #fleece acquisitions. Black romney, black CVM lamb, CVM (very dirty, going to need a lot of work, but the good parts are gorgeous), and a very light gray/white romney cross. I have about 8 fleeces to scour in my stash.

Really excited with how this #hebridean #handspun swatch came out. I hope to finish a sweaters’ quantity of this yarn this summer for a nice cabled sweater this fall/winter

My sister got a new camera and wanted to test it with me. As a result, she got some chaotic studio shots. I spent the weekend sorting through the wool mess. Organized fleece into projects, now I just need to work through it all…

More #pygora shots. Second photo is an example of one sliver of the combed top that comes off, and the third is the bag of what I have so far. I think I’ll end up with about 3x that in the end.

Combing some #pygora fiber I bought on a whim in upstate NY. I stayed at a bird farm (they raised chickens and peacocks!) but they also had some pygora goats and offered me a small bag of pygora at what I think was a reasonable price? (I have no idea what it cost anymore). First time combing!
