This is an interesting change Twitch is making, and I think all in all it will probably be a mostly positive one. There may be a few drawbacks to the changes, but I think this is a good step
Last month, Twitch announced that monetization (Subs/Bits) would soon be open to all creators from Day 1.
They've now clarified that you won't be able to withdraw that money unless you unlock Affiliate. However, you will be able to spend it on-site.
