This is possibly an autism thing? Newspaper comics have such a predictable format, no wonder my brain latched onto them to the extent it did. I read Andy Capp, for heaven's sake, I owned several collections of it. I probably had no idea what it was about, but I knew how those four panels worked.

Lest we forget Filoni is the dude who ran the Mandalorian and the Boba Fett show into the ground by making them all about characters from his cartoons. Because it was far more important to establish those guys were canon than produce TV people wanted to watch.
