There’s this men’s program for recovering addicts. These men are forced to work without pay, made to apply for food stamps in where the Salvation Army siphons the funds, and they throw men out into the streets for petty reasons.

If you want to help poor people donate to mutual aid requests. A lot of funding has gone away that help feed, clothe and shelter impoverished Americans. Salvation Army is mean and exploitative to their male shelter residents and they are also transphobic.

My son made friends with a girl who came from a religious family. When her dad found out that we didn’t go to church or believe in Christianity, he wouldn’t let her come over anymore or talk to us. It made my son very sad.
