There's an element of perception and faith in there too. I *think* that the perception of a sin as taboo increases the strength of the sinner defined by that, the greater the belief of the *wrongness* of a sin the greater the power of the sinner it seems.

On that front, I've mostly abandoned any store with cages or camera systems like that, I can get most of what I need from local places rather than chain superstores, which isn't always an option for people, but it's a lot less headache inducing, and I can get tastier foodstuffs usually

I have a heated blanket inside a cat box, one day one of my big boys (14lb) got in there, the littlest cat (6lbs) (who it's for) decided she was going to be warm no matter what, and used him as a mattress for an hour or two
