Colorado Rapids can be eliminated from playoff contention before Decision Day. San Jose is @ VAN tomorrow, then vs ATX on DD. RSL has @ SEA, @ STL. Dallas @ LAG, @ VAN. If RSL and DAL win their games in hand on October 11, COL is eliminated. RSL would have the wins tiebreaker.

With tis loss, Colorado Rapids are below the playoff line. 4 pts from 6 games since b2b wins in August after the Djordje drama. 4 road losses. Those Ls at LAG & SKC were costly. They host LAFC on Decision Day. Don’t see how they get a result. Need help on those games in hand.

Temporary stadium will only hold 12k. For the Santa Fe Yards location, they’ve talked about 14-15k capacity. That’s about at the Rapids’ floor for attendance. It could get close.

There will at some point be a double home game week in which the Summit get a higher attendance at their game.

Denver Summit FC season ticket sales start today. The club will provide access in batches to those who paid season ticket deposits. The first batch got access this morning at 8 am. You can purchase one seat for each deposit.

They’ve only conceded one of those in the last 8 games/16 halves. That was an issue earlier in the season that’s been addressed.

They have other issues they haven’t fixed which will likely see them miss the playoffs.

On Saturday, Hartford Athletic won the USL Jägermeister Cup. Former Rapids Homegrown Sebastian Anderson had the winning assist. They're coached by former Switchbacks manager Brendan Burke. Other Pids/Switchbacks connections include Barry, Ngalina, and R2 loaned Belluz.

USMNT U-20s finish top of Group E at the World Cup in Chile after a defeat to South Africa. Adam Beaudry and Noah Cobb both went 90 minutes. Elsewhere, Lucas Herrington started in a win for Australia but they go out in the group stage. The U.S. plays Italy on Thursday.

Colorado Rapids 2 beat Ventura to finish out the MLS NEXT Pro regular season. They finish third in the Western Conference, above fourth place Real Monarchs. Playoff schedule TBD.

Armas likes his pressing and is trying to get one of the team’s better attackers closer to goal. That’s the logic behind it. Even though the player visibly doesn’t care for it.

Armas went on to talk about the 3 xG the team created. Never seen a game where MLS and FotMob were this far apart in xG. MLS stats liked the Holding and Maxsø headers. That’s great. Where was the xG in the first 60 minutes? Where was the finishing?

Rapids are an order of magnitude better with Bassett as an 8 and an actual winger on the wing but for whatever reason Armas has spent the whole stretch run playing Bassett as a winger and the Rapids are going to miss the playoffs because of it.
