No, they charge the parents for truancy unless they homeschool. It’s up to them to get the kids to school regardless of obstacles.

I’m waiting to see what happens once the state administrator starts cutting. CA doesn’t guarantee bus service. But the district supplies it because no one would come if they cut it or had to pay for it.

I think the slavery proposition was really badly written.

Nevada had one, too, with clearer language and it passed.

Not that we won’t miss an opportunity to have low info voters screw us over. I have seen exactly 1 Yes on 50 sign here in NorCal.

I have a big re-sealable glass bottle that originally had a sparkling soda in it. And then I have small hot sauce bottles I bought on ‘zon ages ago to give the extra away.

I conveniently just ran out of last year’s batch. It keeps forever in the fridge since it’s primarily vinegar.

The kids like it as much or more than Cholula or Sriracha.

Only took 3 tries to get my Instant Pot to seal correctly, but hot sauce is being made!

Found Fresno peppers at a Smith’s in Reno this weekend. Our Safeway stopped carrying them. Tossed in a few frozen serranos. Some chipotles. Garlic. Smoked paprika. Carrots for body. Lots of vinegar.

I say this as someone who never censored my kids’ reading.

I don’t agree that schools should have to proactively let parents know what their kids are reading or disclose library records. But they should be able to opt their kids out of books if they wish.

Our district has always allowed that.

I have yet to see people on the left saying that parents shouldn’t monitor their kids’ TVs or video games or movies for appropriateness.
