🇨🇦 in 🇺🇸. academia has 4 parts: research, teaching, service & politics. i got the 1st 3 right. posts mine & might be info.
my passport says i am 183cm tall.
when you're burned, you've got nothing. no pets, no insta & you're not going anywhere.
ça que c'tait.
apparently i can still make a salted caramel sauce

it's cold so pouding chômeur, la sauce, & cheese rolls in progress.

again, for those in the back, this was me from 2018 on. this is the earliest one still on twitter. catch the fuck up, cooper. they are miles past that now & likely to install gauleiters.
January 10, 2026 at 7:40 PM
this was me yrs ago the oldest tweet still available. only now are people realizing what i said b4 that. ICE are are the freikorps &/or SD. my guess, you'll see governors & mayors in blue states replaced by gauleiters by spring. if they took a world leader that would be easy.
basin of water please.

@[email protected] very kindly found a pair of matchbox lysanders, the 1/72 & the 1/32. both are in great condition for their age. she was able to find decals for the little one & the big one will have some nifty challenges, which is always fun.

moggy is nearly done top side, but i got a bit of time yesterday and the snowbird is ready for a careful soapy wash before the gloss goes on. even used xmas present fr @[email protected], a micro compressor set for the cottage, to do leading edges.
December 26, 2025 at 4:10 PM
despite my dept's annual attempt to spoil things, a happy xmas will be had & will include tourtière.

i am so proud of pascal & his work on this 917 gulf livery.
December 22, 2025 at 9:22 PM
working holiday b/c natch my dept turned my sked into a last minute dog's breakfast, so the planes are suffering rather than the vetting, my collabs, & my grad students. even so, the snowbird & moggy are coming along.

here are the other 2, both hobbycraft 1/72. a canadair ct-114 tutor for rcaf snowbirds & an avro canada cf-105 arrow, just primed. the former is a typical hobbycraft kit & not great, so i added some detail in the cockpit. the latter is actually a great kit so far, very un-hobbycraft.
December 8, 2025 at 1:45 AM
it has been an exceptionall busy fall, but i've made progress on 3 kits, incl the 1/72 hasegawa typhoon done as moggy. it has a start on the upper decals on it.
December 7, 2025 at 10:02 PM
a couple of rainouts & some much needed mental health time & the 1/72 typhoon moggy & 1/72 ct114 tutor for snowbirds are coming along.
November 12, 2025 at 11:27 PM
my story is in the blue brackets. been there 10 months. put it there just before i got my most recent award. it was true then & is true now. bulletin board material matters.

"there seems to be something wrong with our bloody logic today."
November 3, 2025 at 6:39 PM
super chuffed to find a ct-114 tutor for the snowbirds in 1/72. but it's a hobbycraft kit & they are notoriously devoid of detail so i found pics & scratch built belts & lines & added detail from my HO trains (esp buckles) & a hasegawa pilot

these will be the moggy display typhoon to go with the 1/24 car door. the hasegawa kit is good with everything fitting nicely so far. excellent loadout to supply the spares box.
October 13, 2025 at 5:14 AM
did something different with these. i have to cook them at the cottage but i can use a water bath at home. plus i used a diff method on the whipped cream to stabilize it. chelle says they're ok.

this green anole tried to come to school with me. it's like it knows i need all the help i can get these days.
September 27, 2025 at 1:22 AM
all three of our monarch butterflies made it!
September 27, 2025 at 1:20 AM
i know i mostly post food, cute reptiles, & airbrushing but i thought i'd cleanse the timeline with a newly emerged monarch butterfly on our deck
September 19, 2025 at 2:48 PM
got some new toys. time to experiment.
September 14, 2025 at 9:50 PM
two of the tiniest green anoles. we think they're after the butterfly chrysalids we have in the planters on the deck
September 14, 2025 at 9:00 PM
