Last month we traveled to Spain's Basque region to visit Mondragon, the world's largest worker cooperative.

92 co-ops. 70,000 workers. €11 billion in revenue. Spain's 7th-largest company.

All collectively owned.

Here are 5 lessons for building a "Mondragon of Music"

📣 Germany's close to reversing its opposition to mass surveillance & private message scanning, & backing the Chat Control bill. This could end private comms-& Signal-in the EU.

Time's short and they're counting on obscurity: please let German politicians know how horrifying their reversal would be.

We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EU’s Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. signal.org/blog/pdfs/ge...

it's the quickest way to access the whole spectrum of family and their info

otherwise search through thousands of entries in Contacts app or make a list but then i have to manage a list separate from the favorites

it's all poorly designed

haven't even listed half the problems

probably unowned

I love making websites.

i'm not denying web whack-a-mole is a strategy. just saying it's not simple and the web isn't designed for it. it's complex and not without risk.

It's not a magical solution to state censorship. Pointing people that way could be dangerous in very real ways. A lot of nuance in that cat-and-mouse game.

A lot of people pointing to the web as the answer to Apple taking down the ICE tracking apps.

They'll go after ISPs, DNS registrars, any SAAS used, track the Github commits etc just like in many countries around the world today.

The web is not a censorship mitigation / circumvention technology.
