40 years ago, Canadian artists came together under the name Northern Lights to record the song "Tears Are Not Enough". It coincided with Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas?" in the United Kingdom and USA for Africa's "We Are the World" to raise funds for relief of the famine in Ethiopia.

I own a VHS copy of the Canadian movie, Melanie. It co-starred Burton Cummings, the lead singer of Canadian rock band The Guess Who. The movie won two Genie awards, including Best Original Song: Burton Cummings "You Saved My Soul" 📼 🇨🇦
