Another look at global monopolies ripping off customers and suppliers.
I am amazed that central banks and governments are not more vocal on this, especially in the UK where we have rampant food inflation. A conspiracy of silence?

No. A wealth tax won't solve everything. No one ever said it will.

But until we begin to challenge the power & wealth of the 1% - then we know this Labour government has been bought and paid for.

Consistently over £2bn profit regardless of revenue is wrong in my eyes, and looks like supernormal profits by any measure
busecon.bsky.social
Nobody questions Tesco making £2bn regular profits. Apparently their margins are thin!

Is it greed landlords, monopoly commodity companies? Somebody along the supply chain is making millions. Just wish Rachel Reeves would come out and investigate. Our high inflation is damaging our country, and the silence is deafening!
busecon.bsky.social
Yes family meals out, or just a couple meals out are a distant memory. Something Rachel Reeves needs to grips with to see who down the supply chain with meals, pubs, clubs, etc is making millions

But please give them some exciting names, that celebrate UK music and culture for instance? Ezra town, Soul II Soul village, Bowie acres. Anything but these bland nothing names
busecon.bsky.social
Maybe move them to London, a wonderful safe and ethically diverse city

Didn’t know he did a Cumbria album. Is it the Colombian type? Big fan of that genre, probably my favourite atm. Tell the people of Columbia, sure they will be pleased

Donald Trump, speaking at the UN, appeared to claim London wants to “go to Sharia law” under its “terrible mayor".

Exactly what he meant wasn’t clear, but there is absolutely no evidence either Sir Sadiq Khan or London wants to introduce Sharia law.
