First cup of coffee I tried to make with the in-laws' garbage coffee maker failed miserably yesterday morning, so we got me a large Tim's dark roast and immediately bought them the least altruistic gift I've ever purchased. It's keeping everybody alive at this point. #tpoc2025

We all know my taste is compromised, but I just finished a book that had me yelling, "WHAT?!" at my phone for the last 25%. I guessed about half the twists, but that last few were unhinged in a great way. It's less smutty than most things I've finished this year. Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry.

I do not care that it is an objectively bad movie, North is one of my favorites. I can still sing the entire parody of the Bonanza theme. It introduced me to Abe Vigoda. It provided a fantasy of abolition that informs my politics today. Rob Reiner's memory will always be a blessing to so many.
