like i understand if people wanna go here because they're constantly seeing nazis n shit on the other site but that's not my problem. my blocklist is in the hundred thousands. i've curated my twitter experience to a tee. i don't need a diluted version of it

I’m probably not gonna post on Bluesky super frequently because it’s still kinda dry and boring imo, but yes, this site is infinitely preferable to Twitter so I will be residing here now that I’ve given up on that shithole.

I've always found this joke fairly corny and dishonest. Yes, "videogames cause violence" is a dumb argument, but answering it with "I play Animal Crossing, do you think THAT makes me violent?" is also dumb. Like obviously those aren't the specific games parents are complaining about.

Okay I’ll be honest I’m not a fan of generative AI myself for various reasons, but frankly I think the focus on its contributions to climate change is transparently just a post hoc justification for people hating the thing they already hated, because it is not a problem unique to it
