One good thing about the Trump era, is that he's stress-tested our democracy. We SHOULD have a decent blueprint when the dust settles on what we do differently. The opposite of an informed citizenry is a mis/disinformed citizenry. I hope we can fix this and share common facts again.

I almost think that reporters need to start interviewing reporters after these. What did you mean by the auto industry would be over? What is your hypothesis? What steps were you inferring the president has taken to ensure it's success. A whole gaggle, chasing these right wing booklickers.

Whats unique about the Trump era are peoples willingness to align themselves with a man, not a party position, policy, or ideology. It makes you responsible for that man, with no deniability toward adhering to a less tangible idea. When Trump is gone, they will be unmoored.

It’s not left or right, it’s up or down. It’s where we have common ground with others in the right wing echo chamber. We just need to consistently focus the convo there.

Rhetoric? Dem politicians are being pressured by the constituents to speak out. Not the other way around. R's just don't understand that, because it doesn't happen that way on their side. They tell people who to be mad at. We on the left are perfectly capable of our own outrage.

Convo with my conservative leaning mom. "How do you know what you know, how do you find the truth". It was a sad realization of the different algorithms we occupy. She had no idea about most of what was going on, despite really trying to. It helps to tap into experts in their field, and be a nerd.🤷♂️

You can justify just about anything if you try hard enough, lack any kind of principles, or lack any kind of memory. Under a barrage of misinformation daily, most will never get a counterpoint to their narrative, or remember what their last opinion was.
