Another aspect is bread type/quality. There are some that are essentially a giant donut. Other king cake breads are more like something you use to mop up leftover gravy. Not so good. Bread like brioche or a croissant are way better imo.

Yet I find a lot of king cakes that have wayyyyy too much frosting. Or some are pretty much a dinner roll with some frosting. 2/3

I like to let the raw taste of microplastics really shine through. A little salt and pepper goes great with a sandwich bag.
Butter, thyme, rosemary, and salt really pairs well with plastic straws. If I'm feeling Chinese, I usually stuff soy sauce, ginger, scallions, and garlic in a plastic bottle.
